How Good Is Summer?
We are currently sleeping off our first Memorial Day Weekend and, let's just say we are excited about this summer business.
Aunties Jen and Jill came from the city and gave us lots of love and affection. Luke needed extra TLC because he was cutting his first tooth, running a fever, and not his usual rambunctious self.

Still, we felt well enough to go to the beach to witness the first swim of the summer.
Another first was Andre finally accepting solid food into his mouth after a prolonged boycott. It took a cookie, a teething biscuit that we busted out to try to help poor Luke.
He might continue to refuse everything except cookies for the rest of his childhood, but at least he won't starve to death once breastfeeding becomes socially questionable.
Luke enjoyed his first cookie, too. No surpise there. But notice Andre eyeballing it. A good sign.
Other firsts this week. Both boys have been spotted pulling themselves up to standing. No photographic proof yet, though here is Luke fishing through the laundry. He seems to share Lucy's fondness for socks.
In other news, check out our new jogging stroller. We can already jog like 2, 3 miles without even working up a sweat.
And the big news, Mommy wore a funny hat and dress and we sat as quietly as we could for most of her graduation ceremony. There she is with great-grandfather Bop and Grandma Marian.
We're proud of her, even though we'd rather she get her SAHM degree than her MD. But she is spending the next year at home with us. Maybe if we are really, really good she won't go back to work.
