It's been a busy month of socializing for us. We met Henry, the son of Jessica, Mommy's best friend from college. He lives in Egypt, but he seemed like a perfectly normal baby to us.

We also travelled to the city to meet Kirby. He's only a month old, but he was a very cool Brooklyn baby.

We had two baptisms last weekend (congratulations Rhys and Henry! at least your souls are safe!), plus visits from Grandpa Bruce, Grandma Gail, and lots of bonding with Auntie Kate.

There were mundane things, like a trip to the supermarket.

And we're learning new tricks every day, like riding bikes.

Auntie Kate (nee Kaoutar) has returned from Africa to stay for six weeks or so. She's been quite a joy and comfort to us already. Here she is keeping Andre calm before a doctor's appointment. She was also there to console him afterwards when he found out he was only in the 5th percentile for weight. Luke, who we thought was the beefy eater of the two, was only in the 30th. But, given their rather big genes to fill, especially on Dad's side, we'd rather see them slightly slight than gigantic at this point. And Andre has really been working harder at mealtimes since the visit.

Kate brought the heat back from Africa with her, so we've been going to the beach a lot.

Here we are watching her play frisbee with Dad at Smith Point. Looks like fun. We've been working on throwing and catching and walking, so, maybe by next summer.

Luke, though, is a doer, not a watcher, so he set off to play his own games. Of course, he fell, and ended up with a face full of sand.

An apple cleaned the sand out nicely.

Try to focus on the cute face in the front and ignore the constipated looking face in the background.
